Minister of Trade inaugurates Khartoum International Fair

The Minister of Trade and Supply, Amal Saleh Saad, stressed the need to take advantage of the great investment opportunities that Sudan abounds in, and noted during her speech on the occasion of the opening of the 40th Khartoum International Fair at the fairgrounds in the suburb of Burri yesterday that Sudan is a promising country to invest in all fields, initially encouraging investment opportunities through amending the investment law.
The minister stressed that Sudan is moving towards achieving sustainable economic development by continuing to strengthen democracy and civil rule to reach the welfare of the people, pointing to the huge resources that characterize the country, indicating that the Ministry of Trade has taken a package of measures to facilitate trade and harmonize laws with global economic systems.
Dr. Ahmed El-Sherif Mohamed, the official spokesman of the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning, stressed that the 40th session of the Khartoum International Fair, with the level of regional, international and national participation, and the honorable presence of state leaders, state governors and ambassadors of diplomatic missions in Sudan, represents an economic, commercial and investment phenomenon to strengthen relations.
The Director General of the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Markets, Dr. Al-Fatih Awad Allah, stressed that the fortieth session of the exhibition is distinguished from its predecessors with the participation of new countries participating for the first time in the field of major international companies, expressing his thanks to the countries and companies participating in Khartoum International Fair, and the number of activities of the Sudanese Company for Free Markets, pointing to the expansion of its business, revealing the establishment of a number of free zones in the Red Sea region and the establishment of free zones and floating marabouts in the Red Sea. Adding areas in Djibouti and Port Said in Egypt.
The representative of the Sudanese Employers’ Federation, Ali Salah Ali Ahmed, expressed the readiness of the Federation to provide the support and support required to achieve development in the country to advance the national economy. He pointed to the importance of taking advantage of historical opportunities to enhance communication and economic relations with brotherly and friendly countries and create new entities and companies with a number of countries. Pointing to the Ukrainian-Russian war and its dimensions on food security, he saluted the Ministry of Trade and the Sudanese Company for Free Zones and Shops for their great efforts in holding this session, as well as the exhibiting companies and the media
