High Production of Gum Arabic Expected

The Director General of the Federal National Forestry Authority, Anwar Abdel Hamid Ibrahim, expected an increase in the production of Gum Arabic during the year 2023, to exceed 80,000 tons of Gum Arabic, led by hashab Gum.

In a statement to the Sudan News Agency (SUNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the Gum Arabic harvest festivals in the (Abuam Saadin) area of ​​Shikan locality, North Kordofan, Anwar said that the production of Gum Arabic during the past year 2022 exceeded 60,000 tons of Gum Arabic.

He explained that he was reassured about the level of Gum Arabic production, which was abundant, adding that this is due to the arrangements made by the producers, the National Forestry Authority and exporters within the framework of the Gum Arabic value chain project.
