Feel It: Khartoum Without Drugs.

Within the framework of the awareness campaign carried out by the State to combat drugs, the activities of Khartoum International Fair is coincide with the celebration of the National Day for Sustainable Development.
Khartoum State unveils the slogan of its participation in the 40th Khartoum International Exhibition Khartoum Without Drugs.
It is known that Khartoum State has been participating in all sessions, and the State has formed a committee for the State’s participation in the exhibition to highlight the civilized face of Khartoum by representing its seven localities in this exhibition.
The State has allocated a special pavilion to raise awareness of the fight against drugs in accordance with the State’s direction in eliminating this phenomenon, so the State chose this slogan, which is in line with the national campaign to eliminate drugs.
The frightening spread of drugs, which touched the living nerve of Sudanese society among young people of both sexes, prompted a comprehensive war on all types of drugs through a national campaign, aimed at eradicating this phenomenon, which has become a concern for all Sudanese families, after flooding the country with a huge amount of various types of drugs over the past years.
At the security level, the authorities have launched massive campaigns by joint forces of the security services, in cooperation with the armed forces, the Rapid Support Forces, the General Intelligence Service and the police, targeting border crossings and hotbeds of manufacture, distribution and abuse, conducting periodic combing of all drug dens, and have managed to arrest large numbers of drug dealers and users.
It is necessary to quickly contain the phenomenon with the participation of all segments of society in order to eliminate it with all its destructive effects, especially since the majority of university students are now using different types of drugs such as crystal heroin, tramadol and banjo. The efforts of all official and popular institutions must be combined with a greater burden on educational institutions.
The current efforts remain insufficient to confront the frightening situation, because it really requires more work and activation of all external and internal channels to confront this imminent danger so that we do not all become addicted soon, in addition to activating laws and legislation that may seem insufficient alone to address the problem, but they need special courts, according to the common law in force, to ensure that criminals do not escape punishment.
I agree with the Former Director of the Federal Investigation that chasing and arresting traffickers and users is not enough , but there must be equipped prosecutions working throughout the day and specialized in these procedures, and the formation of courts whose task is to consider these cases urgently and fairly, in order to achieve the element of deterrence in conjunction with the provision of treatment centers to rehabilitate addicts and return them to society
