Defense and Interior Ministers participate in the meetings of the Joint Political Security Mechanism in Juba

Lieutenant General Yassin Ibrahim, Minister of Defense in charge, headed this morning to Juba, leading the Sudanese delegation to participate in the meetings of the joint political and security mechanism, which will start its work today in Juba from 17-19 January.
The participating delegation includes the Acting Minister of Interior, the Commander of the Police Forces, Lieutenant General Anan Hamed Anan, the Head of the Military Intelligence Authority, the Deputy Director General of the General Intelligence Service, the representative of the Minister of Foreign Affairs, and others.
It is noteworthy that the last meeting was held in Khartoum in May 2022, and it was agreed by the two sides to work to supervise the security of the common borders between the two countries. These meetings come as a continuation of discussing issues related to the file of the joint political and security mechanism between the two countries.
