Automated weather station installed in Hudayba

The Director of the Hudayba Agricultural Research Station, Ashraf Mohamed Ahmed Al-Hashemi has announced the installation of an automated meteorological station at the research station in River Nile State.

He said in statement to SUNA that the station project was the result of the science and technology research partnership for sustainable development with the support of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA), the Japanese Science and Technology Agency (JSTA) and the government of Sudan, indicating that the project aims to develop varieties of wheat environmentally resilient by developing innovative climate-resilient technologies for sustainable wheat production in dry and heat-exposed agro ecologies in Sudan and sub-Saharan Africa.
