Al-Waseem Group Launches Drug Awareness Campaign

Introduction
Drug problem is an international issue, and Sudan is not exempt from the system of those countries and is affected by the global tide of the phenomenon.
It goes without saying that Drug use can lead to dependence and addiction, injury and accidents, health problems, sleep issues and more. Drug use affects you and those close to you.
All indications indicate that Sudanese youth a heading to the path of drug addiction, due to the absence of educational awareness in the country
That being the case is has become a must to intensify efforts and concerting roles with the government to combat the danger of drugs.
Al-Waseem Group Takes the Lead
Al-Waseen International Group for Trade, Investment and General Services Ltd. organized last Thursday 12th January a launching ceremony for its initiative titled (Our Country Matters Initiative) aiming at leading a drug awareness in our beloved country.

The Chairman of Our Country Matters Initiative, Dr. Ahmed Khidir said that the campaign will include presentations, lectures and forums in the universities, districts besides printing brochures, posters an using the social media outlets on drug awareness, affirming that Al-Wassem Group will work out a plan to recruit those recovered from drug addiction.
For his part, the Secretary General of the Initiative, the CEO of Al-Waseem Group, Dr. Khalid Al-Sheikh said that the country is facing an invisible war that targets our youth, emphasizing the importance of intensifying the efforts to confront this phenomenon.
He called in press statements the religious leaders to give more concern on the issue through intensifying the lectures in the mosques, affirming that they, as private sector, are well aware of their role, adding that they already started working our a plan to contain the situation.
Executive Manager of Riyad Al-Saliheen Addiction treatment centre, Singer Waleed Zaki Addeen said that working in curbing the phenomenon should be comprehensive, stressing the necessity of closing the borders to avoid the entrance of drugs to Sudan, calling on for joint efforts, pledging that they, as artists, will exert all possible efforts in this regard.
Prof. Intiasr Yusug of Sudan University of Science and Technology, appreciated the role of the private sector in launching such initiatives to solve the problems facing the Sudanese, affirming their plan to launch a similar campaign in the universities.
