Waking up to a death news is one of the saddest news ever! As in the morning of 14th of December 2022, the world has woken up to the sad news of the death of one of the greatest dancers, actors, and DJs of all times, Stephen Boss – tWitch, the famous dancer who first appeared in So You Think You Can Dance, the DJ at The Ellen Show, the greatest husband of Allison Holker, and the father of three children: Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia.
The world has lost tWitch at the age of just 40 years old. May his soul rest in peace, and our condolences to his family, relatives and friends. Boss was found dead at a motel at Encino Los Angeles CA, where he took his own life on the 13th of December by a gunshot, leaving a suicide note behind.
According to PEOPLE “Stephen “tWitch” Boss’s cause of death has been ruled a suicide, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner.

In a statement to PEOPLE, county officials confirm that the 40-year-old professional dancer died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head. His death occurred on Tuesday at a motel in the Encino area of Los Angeles. The case is now closed, per the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner”.
On Wednesday, Boss’s wife, Allison Holker Boss, shared a statement with PEOPLE regarding her husband’s death “It is with the heaviest of hearts that I have to share my husband Stephen has left us,” Allison, 34, said. “Stephen lit up every room he stepped into. He valued family, friends and community above all else and leading with love and light was everything to him. He was the backbone of our family, the best husband and father, and an inspiration to his fans.”
Many great famous celebrities paid tribute to the late star including Jennifer Aniston, Ellen DeGeneres, Priyanka Chopra, Michelle Obama, Justin Timberlake, and many other celebrities, as his death is a big lost to the entire arts and celebrities community and of course a very devastating time to his family in particular.
According to WHO’s latest estimates, published in 2021 about “Suicide worldwide in 2019” state that “Suicide remains one of the leading causes of death worldwide. Globally, the suicide rate is decreasing; – but unfortunately – in the Americas it is going up”.
A statistic shows that 1 out of 100 deaths are by suicide, and it is very sad that some one can think and actually take out his own life, due to many reasons including job loss, social isolations, financial stress, economic and mental reasons. This reflects the strong bond that should be present between families and friends. if you care about someone be there for them all the time, not at crises times only!
I once wrote about suicides, the reasons behind it in detail, the complications, and the need for help when having these thoughts. After all no one can live a perfect life without any problems or even slight stress, but its important to always open up about it and speak to our closed ones about how we feel and to always be strong to consult a doctor if things got out of hands.
In the end, may Stephen Boss tWitch Rest in Peace, and may his family be strong during this crisis.
