Leadership Training Center organizes Media Forum

The Leadership Training Center of the Higher Security Academy and the Electronic Press Association organized yesterday the Security and Media Forum under he motto “Media Challenges and National Security Intersections”, held in the academy’s buildings in Soba area including media professionals and leaders of armed struggle movements in light of the circumstances the country is going through and the global complexities.
The forum’s program included an introduction to the academy, media, national security strategy, media decision-making, and the coordination mechanism, the addressing of issues of national security and cybersecurity and their impact on the means of communication.
The deputy Acting Director of the Academy, Lieutenant General Dr. Ibrahim Mansour Ahmed Surkati, participants at the forum, praising the partnership between the Academy and the Electronic Media Association, asserting readiness to cooperate with the association and to provide all available capabilities.
He pointed to the academy granting of master’s degrees, diplomas, and doctoral degrees from postgraduate studies in strategic and security studies to all sectors of civil and military society, in Arabic, English and French.
The Director of the Leadership Training Center, Major General Abdel Qader Hassan Bakhit, spointed to the media role in spreading strategic awareness, locally and regionally, in order to achieve decision support.
On his part, Abdel-Baqi Jobara, head of the Electronic Press Association, praised the fruitful cooperation between the association and the academy, pointing to the work for training of the association’s members in the fields of media and strategic studies, and work on coordination between security and media requirements.
